Dear Diary,
My name is Stomachwhisperer, I'm going to turn 20 soon and I'm from Vietnam. English is not my first language so my writing may seem a little off at times…
When working traditionally, I often go with whatever that pops up in my mind. I don't think much about composition, but because making traditional art means you can't undo some mistakes, I have to be very careful with picking color and painting.

On the other hand with digital art, I have more space to try and experiment with color and details, but I have to make sure the composition and the ideas are good and can be completed.
Lately I've been doing a challenge where I would draw my friends based on how I felt about them. I think lately my art gets inspired a lot by the relationship between humans, or heavily inspired by cats. I love them a lot.

I'm planning to do a short animation with this piece. The main character in this piece is a girl named Mia, in which her lover suddenly turns into a cockroach one day so she tries to figure out how to turn him back to human. But while trying her best to help her lover, she gets tired and desperate sometimes. So this piece is the point of view of her lover; finding her crying in the middle of their living room.
If working traditionally, I like to work with acrylic marker, crayon and oil pastel, whilst when working digitally, I use the app Ibis paint X a lot since I feel comfortable working with it.
A weird or unexpected place I found inspiration probably would be my parents' kitchen since I'm not a fan of cooking. I still find myself getting inspired by the food or by the time I spend with my mom.
This is all for now!
Until next time.
Stomachwhisperer
