Dear Diary,

Hi, my name is Abi. I'm a 22 year-old freelance artist from the US! 

I originally started when I was really young doing traditional art, after watching a lot of cartoons and looking up to those behind making them.

Honestly, at first it destroyed my sense of "good art" vs "bad art" and made me really question if I wanted to do art anymore at all. I used to have a TikTok that got some really good engagement, but the sheer demand led me to abandon it. After starting back over, I'm trying to have a better time and have more boundaries when it comes to how much I make without burning out. 

Social media messes with my mindset all the time! After every post, I used to sit and refresh and refresh, just to see the number change. Now I have to physically set my phone down to get away from it.

What sparks my creativity lately? Hm... Is it a dumb to say everything? But honestly, trying new mediums and spending time with other artists has been the biggest help. I've recently been trying other mediums like watercolors and embroidery (which I highly recommend!)

If my art had a message, it's probably just to draw what you love and enjoy! If not, what's the point of doing it?
