Dear Diary,
My name’s Kin, I’m 19, and from the east coast of the US!
I think my love for the arts and creativity came from a really young age. I'm much better at drawing things out in my head than just using words, and I think that really helped me get where I am now!!
I'm such a geek haha, I think a lot of my art style comes from different animated shows and comics mainly; I’m really inspired by the classic comic style — the colors always seem to look more vibrant than they actually are!
I think one of my favorite pieces is of my character Victoria (or “V”), where she’s on a black background and she has red, phantom-like hands grabbing her. Victoria’s story involves avenging her father’s death after a racing accident, and she takes up his mantle in order to do so. I’d like to imagine the red hands being her dad’s legacy tying her down!
My favorite media is either traditional or digital art, since I use both on a daily basis!
Weirdest place of inspiration… oh! I was at the beach a few days ago around midnight-ish to go stargazing and I noticed that the flashlight on my phone was sort of misty, so I thought that it could be a really cool lighting technique I can use for my next piece!!
