I am Saumya , I am from India and I am 27! 

Expressive. Whimsical. Textured. The three words I’d use to describe my art.

I work with both traditional and digital art mediums, though I’m quite new to digital. Traditional art has my heart — the textures, the unpredictability, the vibrancy of pigment on paper. There’s a beautiful stillness in waiting for paint to dry, and a thrill in creating without an “undo” button. It makes the process feel alive.

One artist that I’d love to collaborate with is Hayao Miyazaki. His work carries so much heart and magic — it would be a dream to blend my visual textures with his narrative wonder.

A common issue with many artists I believe is trying to overcome artblocks. When I feel stuck, I try something new — maybe a fresh medium or even a quick sketch with no goal in mind. Running also helps; it clears the noise in my head and resets my perspective. And on some days, I just scroll through Pinterest and let the visuals speak until something clicks.

Lastly, an advice I’d like to share with other artists is: don’t get discouraged by how your wor

k looks in the beginning. Every great piece starts awkward. Just keep going. Trust the process — you’ll surprise yourself with what you’re capable of creating.
