Dear Diary,
I’m Sydney, I'm 15 and I'm from Virginia, USA.
I’ve always had trouble communicating since I live with autism, and art allows me to say what I can't verbalize.
Mostly my own feelings at the moment inspire my art; I've been struggling with stuff regarding relationships (romantic and platonic) lately, as well as struggling with how my brain works compared to others, so that’s really emphasized in my art.

One of my favorite pieces recently is a painting I made the other day, (still working on the title lol). It’s acrylic and oil paint — I use both with most paintings — and it expresses my confusion in socializing with neurotypical / allistic people (aka. those without autism / neurodivergence).
I recently got into oil paint, and I'd say I slightly prefer it over acrylic. Though I have smudged a few pieces by accident... On the bright side, I'm also a writer! But I’d say online writing is better than traditional (my handwriting is so bad lol).
Lastly, one of the weirdest places I’ve found inspiration was probably an analog horror video. It's called Thalasin Blue and it has influenced the story I'm currently writing as it centers a lot around emotion, which the video does as well. You can find it on youtube!
This is it for now,
Until then!
Sydney
