Dear Diary,
Hi! I’m Sami.

When I work traditionally, my mindset shifts into one that focuses on drawing things that feel more expressive. It is almost like writing a story, where every line and color becomes part of the narrative. On the digital side, however, my mindset changes completely. I become more focused on being precise and correct with proportions, colors, and details. Even then, I try to make sure my digital art still shows that freer, more playful side of myself.
What inspires my art lately is simply what I see everywhere — both on social media and in real life. Something will suddenly catch my attention, and then it stays in my head, waiting to become a reality on paper or screen.
There is not much of a story behind my favorite piece, but it was a painting of one of my OCs named Celeth. To be honest, I created her on the spot when I was bored one day, and that spontaneous moment turned into one of the works I value the most.

While I usually use watercolor, my favorite medium is acrylic. Acrylic makes my art easier on the eyes and allows me to create the type of visuals I enjoy the most.
One of the most unexpected moments of inspiration came from a playground. I was simply observing how people were having fun there, and that scene stayed with me.
Until next time!
Sami
